With Red Bull Media House, we set out to redefine what a magazine cover could be, transforming it from a static visual statement into a fully interactive experience.
A playable edition of Tetris seamlessly integrated into the front cover itself. Achieving this required pioneering ultra-thin hardware architecture, including custom-designed flexible circuits laminated directly into the paper structure, capacitive touch controls hidden beneath the printed surface, and a vibrant RGB LED matrix display, all powered by a self-contained micro game system engineered to meet the physical constraints of print production.
The result was more than a novelty; it was a breakthrough in interactive publishing, merging editorial storytelling, industrial design, and embedded technology into a world-first, playable cover that blurred the line between media and machine.
